Opportunity
After the acquisition of a small Big Island based wedding company in Hawaii, METERA was retained to completely rebrand the legacy organization into something new. This was a great opportunity to rebrand an already successful company into something new that was closer to the owner’s original vision.
Approach
The ALOHILANI project required that new visual identity be developed based upon sacred geometry; the creation of a cool-toned color palette, the development of a completely new business strategy, as well as a library of photographic content which would be shot at real customers events of the Client.
Solution
For Alohilani I created a new logomark from a stylized Flower of Life symbol which also was similar in shape to the Tiare flower of Tahiti and common in Hawaii. I create a series of 3 color gradients variations for ALOHILANI to be used at different opacity settings and as a gradient blend within the new logo mark. I shot thousands of images for the image library from actual Client events to be used in the studio’s marketing collateral, and a new website (which I also developed).
Finally, the most important, together with ALOHILANI we developed a completely new business model, which in retrospect, is the perfect way to create memorable elopement experiences in our post-COVID 19 world.
OUTCOME
/Results
The new brand positioning has proven to be successful in both or pre-COVID 19 and post-COVID 19 worlds. By emphasizing an intimate form event deign, ALOHILANI has proven itself again to be a leader in this market sector.

We successfully completed a 180-degree overhaul of the legacy company’s image in record time. The new image of the company is fresh and colorful yet still grounded in the strong cultural ties that keep the ALOHILANI tied to Hawaii Island.
02/ Create a new brand that was inline with the vision of the new owners.
The new ALOHILANI brand contains all of the elements the new owners required to have present.
